Caregiver Support
The importance of having a proper support circle

In the United States, there are over 50 million unpaid caregivers for older adults. Caregiving for older adults can be stressful, therefore it is important to have support from others who are in a similar situation.

Most caregivers experience stress because they are working full time in addition to giving care to a family member. One caregiver reported getting only 3 hours of sleep a night. Most employers do not offer much support, which results in caregivers having to use vacation time or PTO for the purpose of caring for their loved ones.

Caregivers report that they want information, resources, and support.  They feel they are alone in their individual situation which affects their mental health and well-being. Therefore, it is additionally affecting their work which is noticed by employers. Employers, on the other hand, are starting to recognize the need to support these employees.

One Care's Care Club is a membership program that empowers caregivers and users with resources and information to connect, engage, and take care of each other. Care Club membership includes a Care Watch, the One Care's Companion app, and membership to the Care Club Community.
